1776–1855. Farmer. Born at Derby, New Haven Co., Connecticut. Moved to Litchfield, Litchfield Co., Connecticut. Married first Rachel Webster, 1 Oct. 1811, in Otis, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. Moved to Mentor, Geauga Co., Ohio, before Oct. 1817. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., by Apr. 1822. Offered to sell farm to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for $4,000, 23 Mar. 1833. Married second Mary Cahoon, 6 Nov. 1836, in Geauga Co. Died at Kirtland.
