Biography
22 Jan. 1815–7 Jan. 1892. Born in Fayette, Seneca Co., New York. Daughter of Peter Whitmer and Mary Musselman. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Oliver Cowdery, 18 Apr. 1830, in Seneca Co. Moved to Jackson Co., Missouri, by 1832. Married Oliver Cowdery, 18 Dec. 1832, in Kaw Township, Jackson Co. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, by late 1834; to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, 1837; to Richmond, Ray Co., Missouri, summer 1838; back to Kirtland, fall 1838; to Tiffin, Seneca Co., Ohio, 1840; to Elkhorn, Walworth Co., Wisconsin Territory, 1847; and to Richmond, by 1849. Husband died, Mar. 1850. Joined Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, after 1860. Moved to Southwest City, McDonald Co., Missouri, after 1870; to El Paso Co., Colorado, by June 1880; and back to Southwest City. Died at Southwest City.
