Biography
12 Jan. 1773–13 Jan. 1848. Farmer, miller, carpenter. Born at Uxbridge, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. Son of Ezekiel Johnson and Bethia Gurnsey. Married Julia Ellis Hills, 12 Jan. 1801, at Grafton, Worcester Co. Moved to Vermont and to Fredonia, Pomfret Township, Chautauque Co., New York, 1813. Opposed baptism of family into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Located with a daughter at Mentor, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1835. Lived with Latter-day Saints at Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Died at Nauvoo.
