Biography
17 June 1803–28 Sept. 1875. Farmer. Born in Lebanon, Grafton Co., New Hampshire. Married Laura Woodward, before 1830. Moved to Burlington, Chittendon Co., Vermont, by 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by 1 Oct. 1837. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, by 1837. In charge of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints farm. Ordained an elder, 8 Oct. 1837, in Kirtland. Plaintiff in case Wilder and Strong v. Rounds. Moved to Missouri, 1838; to Illinois, 1839; to Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1840; to Farmington, Fulton Co., Illinois, before Oct. 1848; and to Knox Co., Illinois, before Nov. 1850. Baptized into Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2 Jan. 1866, and ordained an elder, in Truro, Knox Co. Moved to Watervliet, Berrien Co., Michigan, after 1870. Died at Watervliet.
