Biography
1805–19 Sept. 1883. Attorney, judge, justice of the peace. Born in Monkton, Addison Co., Vermont. Moved to Painesville, Geauga Co., Ohio, by 1828. Practiced law in Geauga Co., ca. 1830–1839, and in Lake Co., 1840–1847. Represented JS in legal examination, 21 Apr. 1835, in Geauga Co. Moved to Racine, Racine Co., Wisconsin Territory, 1847, and practiced law. Married first Lucy Jane Hubbard, 20 Aug. 1850, in Racine Co. Alderman, 1853, at Racine. Married second Ellen C., by 1860. Appointed circuit court judge, 1875. Served as justice of the peace, by 1883, at Racine. Died in Racine.
