ca. 1810–by 10 July 1849. Court clerk. Born in Baltimore. Son of John Aloysius Owings and Margaret McAlister. Served in Black Hawk War, 1832. Married Josephine Lalumiere, 31 Oct. 1836, in Randolph Co., Illinois. Served as U.S. circuit court clerk, in Vandalia, Fayette Co., Illinois, 1838–1839. Served as U.S. district court clerk, in Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois. Died in Randolph Co.
