26 Nov. 1824–5 Feb. 1847. Born at Benson, Rutland Co., Vermont. Daughter of John S. Carter and Elizabeth Kenyon. Received patriarchal blessing from Joseph Smith Sr., 29 Jan. 1836, at Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Moved to Missouri, 1838. Moved to Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, by 4 Apr. 1839. Married to Lauren Hotchkiss Roundy by John Taylor, 16 Oct. 1842, at Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. Died at Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska).
