1805–30 Apr. 1884. Merchant, farmer, politician. Born in Kentucky. Married first Nancy. Moved to Millport, Daviess Co., Missouri, 1836. Elected Daviess Co. treasurer, 29 May 1837; member of Missouri House of Representatives, 1838, 1842. Appointed presiding judge of Daviess Co. court, Sept. 1851. Moved from Daviess Co., 1852. Lived in Clarke Co., Washington, June 1860. Moved to Sandy, Multnomah Co., Oregon, by 28 July 1860. Married second Eliza A. Gardner, 17 Nov. 1867, in Polk Co., Oregon. Lived at Bridgeport, Polk Co., June 1880. Died in Polk Co.
