1797/1798–in/after 1851. Publisher/bookseller. Son of Simeon Leavitt and Betty Tuck. Married first Joan Ayer, 1820, in Essex Co., Massachusetts. Wife died, 7 or 11 Nov. 1824. Married second Louisa Adams, 7 Dec. 1825, in Andover, Essex Co. Moved to New York City, by 1828. Summoned, along with JS and others, to answer petition in chancery exhibited against them by Alpheus C. Russell. Married third Angelica Patterson, 2 Apr. 1844, in New York City. Likely died in New York City.
