Biography

1800–1868. Farmer. Born in New York. Married first Keziah. Lived at Warsaw, Genesee Co., New York, 1830. Participated in Camp of Israel expedition to Missouri, 1834. Served as a president of First Quorum of the Seventy, 1835–1837. Stockholder in Kirtland Safety Society. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, by 1840. Sustained in Sidney Rigdon’s Church of Christ as president of Quorum of the Seventy, 1845, at Pittsburgh. With William E. McLellin and Jacob Bump, organized the Church of Christ at Kirtland, Jan. 1847. Wife died, 1853. Married second Marina Bassett, 7 Mar. 1858, in Kirtland. Died at Kirtland.
