20 Dec. 1808–25 Jan. 1841. Born at Bedford, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire. Daughter of Joshua Bailey and Hannah Boutwell. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Samuel H. Smith, 26 June 1832, at Boston. Migrated from Boston to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1833. Married Samuel H. Smith, 13 Aug. 1834, at Kirtland. Moved to Missouri, 1838. Located at Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. Died at Nauvoo.
