19 Feb. 1802–23 Feb. 1881. Farmer. Born in New York. Married first Elethan Harris, before 1828. Moved to Palmyra, Wayne Co., New York, by June 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Parley P. Pratt, by Oct. 1830, in Palmyra. Appointed to serve mission, Oct. 1830. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, by June 1831. Ordained an elder, by June 1831. Left church shortly thereafter and helped found Pure Church of Christ. Moved to Batavia, Branch Co., Michigan, by June 1850. Married second Clorinda Mecham, 6 Mar. 1855, in Jackson Co., Michigan. Served as highway commissioner, 1858, in Batavia. Appointed justice of the peace, 1859 and 1863. Married third Eunice Hanmer, 14 Apr. 1861, in Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan. Moved to Bethel, Branch Co., by June 1870. Died in Branch Co.
