Biography
19 Apr. 1781–after 1860. Farmer, laborer. Born at Goffstown, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire. Son of John Dustin and Sarah (Sally) Webster. Moved to Alstead, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire, by 1803. Married first Aruba (Azubah) Tubbs, 11 Sept. 1803, at Marlow, Cheshire Co. Lived at Lawrenceburg, Dearborn Co., Indiana, by 1820. Married second Irena, 15 Oct. 1821, at Cincinnati. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Parley P. Pratt, 1831. Ordained an elder by JS, June 1831. Moved to Jackson Co., Missouri, as early as fall 1831. Ordained a high priest by Oliver Cowdery, 5 Oct. 1832, at Independence, Jackson Co. Served mission to Illinois and Indiana, 1832. Served as presiding elder at Batson settlement, Jackson Co., ca. 1833. Moved to Clay Co., Missouri, ca. 1833. Served as high council member pro tem, 1834, in Clay Co. Served mission to Kentucky, 1834. Served mission to Upper Canada, 1835. Moved to Far West, Missouri, ca. 1836. Served as high council member pro tem, 1838, in Far West. Removed to Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, by May 1839. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, by 1849. Member of Parley P. Pratt's Southern Exploring Expedition, Nov. 1849. Wife stayed in Illinois and divorced him, Oct. 1851. Settled at Payson, Utah Co., Utah Territory, by 1860.
