Biography
8 Aug. 1784–17 Jan. 1879. Seamstress. Born at Framingham, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. Daughter of Joseph Richards and Rhoda Howe. Moved to Hopkinton, Middlesex Co., 1787. Moved to Richmond, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, 1803. Returned to Hopkinton, before 1807; returned to Richmond, 1807. Moved to Holliston, Middlesex Co., 4 July 1812; returned to Richmond, May 1815. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her brother Phineas Richards, 2 June 1838, in Richmond. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, Oct. 1842. Plural wife of JS, sealed on 12 June 1843. Moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), 11 July 1846. Arrived in Salt Lake Valley, 20 Oct. 1848. Died in Salt Lake City.
