Supervisor of highways, 1827, and fence viewer, 1829, in Kirtland. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by June 1831. Ordained an elder by JS, 6 June 1831. Served mission to Missouri, 1831. Moved to Jackson Co., Missouri, 1831. Moved to Clay Co., Missouri, 1833. Appointed member of Second Quorum of the Seventy, 28 Feb. 1835. Member of Kirtland high council, 1835. Moved to Caldwell Co., Missouri, 1836. Lived in Knox Co., Illinois, by 1840. Married second Margaret Dawsett, 19 June 1853, at Green Co., Illinois. Moved to Montezuma, Pike Co., Illinois, by 1860.
