Cutler, William Lathrop
Biography
6 Feb. 1821–1 Nov. 1851. Born in East Bloomfield, Ontario Co., New York. Son of Alpheus Cutler and Lois Lathrop. Resident of Hanover, Chautauque Co., New York, 1830. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by David W. Patten, 20 Jan. 1833, in Chautauque Co. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1834; to Caldwell and Ray counties, Missouri, 1836–1838; and to Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. Appointed president of Young Gentlemen and Ladies Relief Society, Jan. 1843, in Nauvoo. Received elder’s license, 14 Aug. 1843, in Nauvoo. Member of Nauvoo Legion. Married Abigail Eliza Chase, 7 Feb. 1846, in Nauvoo temple. Migrated to Salt Lake City, before Nov. 1851, where he died.
