Summary
One of three major land acquisitions by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Nauvoo peninsula. Tract consisted of four to five hundred acres and included part of Commerce and all of planned Commerce City (now Nauvoo area). Property purchased for $114,500, Aug. 1839.
