Summary
A wholesale grocery operated by William Jones and Luman A. Phelps in Buffalo, New York, selling spices and alcohol. The Kirtland firms of Cahoon, Carter & Co. and Rigdon, Smith & Cowdery purchased goods from the firm in 1836. The debts owed by the Kirtland area firms were not consolidated and apparently remained unpaid. JS included two debts owed to the firm in his bankruptcy application.
