This, an article of agreement, between Joseph Smith of & State of , of the one part, and of the & aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth: that the said Joseph Smith agrees to let the said have the use of his farm, known as the church farm in the aforesaid, for one year from this time, with the privilege of occupancy upon the primises after the expiration of the year, until the following April; which will the better enable him to harvest his crop upon the ground. And the said agrees to pay the said Smith the sum of sixty dollars for the rent of the said farm for the time above specified, and also to pay the tax of the said farm for the coming year. He also the sd. also agrees to see that no <unnecessary> waste is committed upon the said farm of any kind. The rent of sixty dollars is to be paid by sd. in improvements upon the said farm, such as shall be agreed upon, during the said year.
