An ordinance concerning spiritious liquors and for other purposes.
Sec 1 Be it ordained by the city council of the city of , that before any person can dispose <in sm> of spiritous liquors or any intoxicating drink <in small quantities in said > they shall first obtain a licence from the Mayor’s Court, for which they shall pay not less than two hundred, nor more than five hundred dollars (and the issuing fees,) for one year.
Sec 2 And be it further ordained that if any person shall <sell> or give away to be drank in this <,> any spiritous liquors or intoxicating drinks, without first obtaining such license, they shall pay a fine in proportion to the amount of <the> licence many which the Court would have assessed.
Sec 3 And be it further ordained that all ordinances, or parts of ordinances repugnant to the provision of this, are hereby repeald. [p. [1]]
