Know All Men by these presents that We Joseph Smith are held and firmly Bound into the people of the State of for the use of James Lawrence Nelson Lawrence Henry Lawrence Julia Lawrence and Margret Lawrence Minors in the Penal Sum of Seven thousand Seven hundred and fifty nine 06/100 dollars for payment of which well and truly to be made we are bound <We Bind> ourselves our heirs Executors or administrators Jointly Severally and firmly by these presents Witness our hands and Seals at this 4th day of June. A. D. 1844
The Condition of the above obligation is such that If the above bound Joseph Smith who has been appointed Guardian for James Lawrence Nelson Lawrence Henry Lawrence Julia Lawrence and Margret Lawrence Shall faithfully discharge the office and trust of Such Guardian according to law and shall Render a fair and Just account of his Said guardianship to the Court of Probate for the County of from time to time as he shall be thereto Required by the Said Court and Comply with all the orders of Said Court lawfully made Relative to the goods Chattels and moneys of the Said minors and Render and pay to Such Minors all moneys goods and Chattels title papers and Effects which may come to the hands or possession of Such Guardian belonging to Such minors when Such Minors shall be thereto Entitled or to any Subsequent Guardian Should the Court so direct then the above obligation to be void otherwise to Remain in full force and Virtue
