Know all men by these presents that I of the township of , County of Lake and State of Ohio, am held and firmly bound unto , his heirs and assigns in the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars, to the payment of which well and truly to be made I do by these presents bind myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators. Sealed with my seal, and dated this sixteenth day of September A. D. 1841.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the said and Alice Granger his wife, has conveied [conveyed] to the said by deed baring even date herewith, the following described piece or parsel of land, to wit, “Situate in the township of county of Lake and State of Ohio being in township number nine, in the ninth range of Townships, in the Connecticut Western Reserve So, called being lot No. eight, in Block No. one hundred and thirteen of Kirtland City Plat, except a Small piece or parsel of land on the north end of said lot deeded to , being the same piece or parsel of land deeded to the said by the Sheriff of . Now therefore if the said , his heirs or assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the full sum of two hundred and twenty five dollars and interest on the same, the consideration expressed in the above <described> deed, to the said , his heirs, or assigns, on or before the first day of July eightteen hundred and forty two, then the said— , his heirs and assigns, shall redeed to to the said or his heirs, or assigns, on the payment of the said sum of two hundred twenty five dollars & interest by the time expressed then, this obligation shall be void, otherwise remain in full force and virtue in Law.
