KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I, —— of the county of and State of — am held and firmly bound unto Joseph Smith, Trustee in Trust for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of the county of — and State of — his heirssuccessors in office and assigns, in the sum of Thirty dollars—— dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, I bind myself my heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, That whereas, the said — have this day sold unto the said Joseph Smith———— a certain lot of ground, situated, lying and being in the county of — and State of , and described on the plat of thes Addition to the City of as being Lot No. 27 in Block No. 6 and received in payment for said lot notes of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum of fifteen dollars dollars, and payable as follows, with interest:The payment of which is duly acknowledged
The description of the Lot or parcel, of Land intended in this obligation is as follows. To Wit:— it being a part of the south half of Lot Twenty Seven in Block six of s addition to the City of commencing at the South east corner of land Lot & running west five rods Thence north eight rods thence east five rods thence south eight rods to the place of beginning. one fourth of an acre be the same more or less——
The interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now, if the said Joseph Smith having paid the fifteen dollars according to the tenor of this withoutheirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly to be paid, the amount of said note with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, I the said bind myself my heirs, executors and administrators, to make, or cause to be made, to the said Joseph Smith— Trustee in Trust——— his heirssuccessors in office and assigns, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot on or before the twentyeth of December A.D. 1842. and then this bond shall become null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. Given under my hand and seal this nineteenth day of February—— in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two
