Know all Men by these Presents, THAT We Joseph Smith, and Agents and Attorneys in fact for the said Joseph Smith of the city of in the state of , Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S. are held and firmly bound unto Henry Kern of Bart. Township Lancaster County and state of Pa— in the sum of Nine hundred dollars lawful silver money of the , to be paid to the said Henry Kern his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns: to which payment well and truly to be made, the said Joseph Smith Trustee in Trust doth bind himself his successors and their Heirs, Executors and Administrators and every of them—— firmly by these Present. Sealed with his our Seals Dated the sixth day of April—— in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.
The Condition of this Obligation is such, That if the above bounden Joseph Smith by his Agents and Attornies or by his Heirs Executors, Administrators, or any of them, shall and do well and truly pay, or cause to be paid unto the above-named Henry Kern the sum of four hundred and seventy dollars to be paid in City lots or farming lands situate in the state of and at their cash value, to which good and sufficient titles shall be made to the said Henry Kern his certain Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns, thejustsumofimmediately after the said lots or lands have been selected by the said Kern his agent of assign without any fraud or further delay, then the above Obligation to be void, or else to be and remain in full force and virtue.
