Bond to Hugh Herringshaw and Edward Thompson, 12 April 1841
For and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to me in hand paid by and of the County of and state of . I Joseph Smith of the & aforesaid bind myself my heirs and assigns to make to the <said> and a good and sufficient deed, eighteen years from the date hereof, for all that Lot of ground situate lying and being in the County of and State of and described [on] the [plat] of the Town of as being [Lot] No ◊◊ in Block No Eighty.
And for the performance of the above obligation I bind myself my heirs and assigns in the penal sum of One thousand dollars
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of April A. D. 1841
