KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I Joseph Smith of the county of and State of am held and firmly bound unto Stephen Foot of the county of and State of his heirs and assigns in the sum of eight hundred dollars dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made weI bind ourselvesmyself, ourmy heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
NOW THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE OBLIGATION IS SUCH, that whereas, the said Joseph Smithhavehas this day sold unto the said Stephen Foot—— a certain lot of ground situated, lying and being in the county of and State of , and described on the plat of the Town of as being Lot No. one in Block No. One hundred and three and received in payment for said lot Four Three notes of hand bearing even date herewith, for the sum of Three hundred and fifty dollars, and payable as follows. to wit. viz
The first for Two hundred and twenty five dollars— on on the first day of April A. D. 1844
The second for Seventy five dollars on the first day of April A. D. 1846
The third for Fifty dollars on or before the first day of April A. D. 1848
withThe interest for each and every note to be paid annually.
Now if the said Stephen Foot his heirs, executors, or administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid, the amount of said notes with such interest as may accrue thereon, according to the tenor and effect thereof, when due, I the said Joseph Smith—— bind myself my heirs, executors and administrators, to make or cause to be made, to the said Stephen Foot his heirs and assigns, a good and sufficient Deed for the above described lot ——and then this bond to become and then this Bond to become null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
