To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting: Know Ye, that We <& wife of the sd. > of County of Geauga and State of Ohio, For the consideration of two thousand and two hundred dollars received to our full satisfaction of Joseph Smith Junior of the Town of County of Geauga and State of Ohio, do give grant bargain sell & confirm unto him the said Joseph Smith Junior, the following described tract or lot of land, situate in Township No. 9. in the ninth range of Townships in the Connecticut Western Reserve, in the State of Ohio, and which is also in the County of , and is known as parts of lots No. 29, 30, and 31 in tract one and is bounded as follows to wit; on the east by the road running from to Aurora and by ’s land, South by N. Collins land and lot No. 43, and the line of lot No. 42 agreeable to the new survey, west by land surveyed off, to Seth Makepeace from lot No. 29, and by the road leading by William Fosters North by lot No. 16, and by fifty one acres and twenty seven rods surveyed off to Seth Makepeace from lot No. 30 in tract one reserving and excepting from the bounds of the land above described, one acre one hundred and sixteen rods, commencing at the south east corner of land surveyed off, to from 22 rods west of the centre of the road leading from to , thence 23 rods south thence east 12 rods, thence north 23 rods, thence west 12 rods to the place of beginning supposed to contain one hundred forty two acres and forty four rods Be the same more or less. To have and To hold the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Joseph <Smith,> Junior his heirs and assigns forever to their own proper use and behoof.
