This Indenture made and entered into this twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between and his wife of the County of , and State of of the first part and Joseph Smith as sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of the and aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said and his wife, party of the first part, for and in consideration of the love and good will they bear to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of which the said Joseph Smith, party of the second part, is Sole Trustee in Trust, and also for the sum of one dollar, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith, as Sole Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, party of the second part, his successors in office and assigns forever, all those tracts or parcels of land situate and being in the county of in the State of and known and described as follows, to wit; The North half of Section number nine in Township no. six North of Range no Eight West of the fourth principal Meridian excepting eight acres in the S. W. qr of the N. W. qr of said Section nine previously sold to Durbin by Erie Rhodes deceased. Also a part of the South East quarter of Section No Eighteen in Township and Range aforesaid, commencing at a stone at the South West corner of said quarter and running thence East twenty Rods, thence North Forty Rods, thence East twenty Rods, thence South twenty Rods, thence East twenty six and two third Rods, thence North Sixty Rods, thence East forty five and one third Rods, thence North Eighty Rods to the North line of said quarter, thence West one hundred and twelve Rods to the North West corner of said quarter, thence South one hundred and Sixty Rods [p.
