To All People To Whom These Presents Shall Come Greeting. Know Ye That we and of the Town of County of Lake and State of Ohio For the consideration of one thousand dollars received to our full satisfaction of do give grant, bargain and confirm unto him the said the following described tract or Lot of land situate in Township No. Twenty County of Oswego and State of New York and is known by being fifty acres part of Lots Number one hundred and twenty two and one hundred and thirty five in township Number Twenty of Scribas Patent to be laid off from the West end of fifty acres off of the South end of said Lot Number one hundred and twenty two, and from the West end of the residue of said Lot Number one hundred and thirty five and West of the Volney road belonging to Elijah Davis the East line of the said fifty acres to run parallel to the West line of said lots containing fifty acres of Land be the same more or less <be the same more or less, but subject to all legal highways>. To Have and to Hold the above granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said his heirs and assigns forever, to his own proper use and behoof. And I the said do for myself my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said his heirs and assigns that at and until the ensealing of these presents I was well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good rightfull to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as above written, and that the same be free of all incumbrences whatsoever. And furthermore I the said do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to Warrant and Defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said his heirs and assigns against all lawful claims and demands whatsoever. And I the said do hereby remise, release and forever unto the said his heirs and assigns all my right and title of dower in and to the above described premises. In Witness Whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twelfth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand and Eight hundred and forty one

On this twelfth day of August in the year one thousand Eight hundred and forty one before me the subscriber a commissioner in and for the said State appointed by the commissioner Governor of the State of to take the acknowledgements and proofs of deeds and other writings under seal to be used or recorded in the said state of , and to administer oaths and affirmations appeared with whom I am personally acquainted who being by me duly sworn deposes that he resides in the Township of in the County of Lake and State of , that he was a subscribing witness to the execution of the within instrument and saw and execute the same whom he knew to be the same individuals described therein, which is to me satisfactory evidence of the due execution of the said instrument, and I further certify that I personally, privately examined the within named separate and apart from her said and that she acknowledged that she that she executed the within instrument without any fear or compulsion of her said
