This Indenture made, and Entered into, This Eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty-one between Joseph Smith and his wife, of the county of and state of , of the one part, and of the county of , and aforesaid, of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Smith and his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred Dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the state of , viz: beginning at a State Stake 50 feet from the North West Corner of Lot No 2, Block No 154 in the City Plot of , thence East 50 feet, on Water Street, thence South in a line parralell with the west end of said Lot, according to the City Survey, thence up the on said Street to the Corner Stake of a piece of Land Deeded to (being front of said Lot,) thence North to the place of beginning. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. to have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Joseph Smith and his wife, their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
