The Grand Jury returned into Court the following Bills of Indictment to wit The vs) Hezikiah Jackson for an assault and Battery State <The> vs Hizekiah Jackson for Horse Racing on Sunday The vs Mitchell Owens for Horse Racing on Sunday The vs Elijah Impey and Richard E Lacy for selling liquor on Sunday The vs and Maurice [Morris] Phelps for The vs William Johnson for swapping <& selling> strays <all of which were signed by the foreman as true Bills—> they also report the Jail to be in good Order and having no further business were discharged [p. 354]
