The Grand Jurors for The State of , for the body of the County of aforesaid, upon their oath present, That Joseph Smith, Junior, late of said County of , being a citizen of the said State of , not having the fear of God before his eyes, nor weighing the duty of his allegiance, but being moved and seduced by the instigation of the devil, and entirely withdrawing the love and true and due obedience which every citizen of our said sovereign State of should, and of right ought to bear, towards our said sovereign State of , and wickedly devising and intending to disturb the peace peace and public tranquility of the said State of , on the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight, with force and arms, at the County of aforesaid, unlawfully, maliciously, and traitorously [p.
