Brother Dear sir being weak in Body and troubled in mind in consiquence of Being in debt and unable to pay unless I can collect Money Where it is due me) last may one year ago I Lent $300— two hundred of which he paid by getting a Note Chas. Hopkins held against me for two Hundred dollars— leaving a ballance due me of one Hundred dollars— was to pay me as I wanted. The day I sent for some he died— then I was compeld To barrow some cash— last fall you told me I should Have my money, so I have waited patiently for one year Believing that you and Joseph would pay me— Mr Harper cald on me when I was verry sick— se[ei]ng my condition He said but little to me— but told James If could not pay Him part he would sue me— Brother James ows Brother Joseph fifty dollars— now if you can get an order for James to pay me the fifty dollars Harper will [p.
