Know all men by these presents that Ethan Kimball of the County of and State of , has this day for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by of the County of and State of , bargained and sold unto the said a certain lot or piece of land lying and situated in s addition to in said and last mentioned, as will more fully appear by refference to the plat of said addition, being part of lot No 72 in block No two in said addition to the Town of , To wit, beginning at the North East corner of said lot and block running south thirty two and a half rods thence West twenty rods, thence North thirty two and a half rods, thence East to the place of beginning being more or less. To have and to hold the above described lot or piece of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to her the said her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ethan Kimball for himself his heirs and assigns administrators and executors, do warrant and forever defend the title of the lot or piece of land against every person or persons claiming by, through, or under him in any manner, or any other persons whatever. In testimony whereof he has hereunto set his name and affixed his seal this 6th. day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three.

I, a Justice of the Peace, in and for the said , do certify that Ethan Kimball, by his Attorney , whose signature appears to the foregoing Deed is personally known to me to be the person described in and who executed the same, and who acknowledged the same to be his free and voluntary act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal this sixth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three.

Know all men by these presents that I Mary Ann Grant of the County of and State of have this day for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars in hand paid by of and aforesaid, bargained and sold unto the said a certain lot or piece of land lying and situated in s addition to in said and above mentioned as will more fully appear by reference to the plat of said addition being part of lot No 72 in block No two in said addition to , to wit, beginning on the North West corner of said lot at the centre of Young Street, thence South eight rods, thence East fifteen rods, thence North eight rods, thence West fifteen rods to the place of beginning be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above des-cribed lot or piece of land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Mary Ann Grant for herself, her heirs and assigns administrators and executors do warrant and defend forever [p. 158]
