This Indenture made and entered into This eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between and Eliza his wife of the county of and State of of the one part and of the country of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said and Eliza his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever all that part or parcel of land situate and being in the country of in the state of , viz:— Fifty four feet of lot No four in Block one hundred and thirty nine as described in the plat of the city of and bounded as follows:— commencing fifty feet north of the south East corner of said Lot on Main street running west one hundred and forty eight, feet to Mr Lewis Telles line; thence north fifty four feet; thence East one hundred and forty eight feet; thence South fifty four feet to the place of beginning— Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Eliza his wife theirs heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. I Notary public for said in said do certify that and Eliza his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Eliza Moses having been by me made ucquainted with the contents of the said deed and examined separate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had executed the same and relinquished her right of dower to the premises therein conveyed volantarily freely— and without any compulsion of her said .
