This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between and Polly Sherwood his wife of the county of and State of of the one part and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said and Polly Sherwood his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of onehundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever all that part or parcel of Land situate and being in the county of in the state of Viz:— It being a part of Lot No three in Block No three in Block No one hundred and Eighteen as laid down on the plat of the city of Beginning on the South bounds of said Lot Eight feet west of its South East corner running thence forty five feet West thence North half across said Lot thence East forty five feet thence South to the place of Beginning with parallel lines containing about four hundred and fifty yards of land Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever:— And the said and Polly Sherwood his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony whereof the said and Polly Sherwood his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

I a Justice of the Peace in and for the said do certify that and Polly Sherwood his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the Same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Polly Sherwood having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined seperate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had Executed the same and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed Voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her said In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five
