& wife [Sarah Phinney Foster] to Mary Ann Greenwell pt Lot 52 B 4 ’s Ad
This Indenture made this the fifteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three between of the county of and State of of the first part and Mary Ann Greenwell of the second part of the and aforesaid Witnesseth that the said for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid <well> and truly paid by the said Mary Ann Greenwell the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath grainted, bargained sold, and by these presents doth grant bargain sell release convey and confirm unto the said Mary Ann Greenwell and her heirs and assigns forever. A certain piece or parcel of Land lying in and aforesaid known and designated as follows:— Bounded on the North by land sold by me to Craig East by land owned by Pack South by land sold by me to Hutchinson Lot to be of the same width and double the length from East to West as that sold by me to said Hutchinson and west by the street directly west of Allstons house the above premises being in Lot (52) of Block (4) four of s addition to And all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand, both at law and in equity of the same the said of In and to the said premises and every part thereof To have and to Hold the said premises hereby bargained and sold or meant or intended so to be, with the appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of the said Mary Ann Greenwell and her heirs and assigns forever And the said for himself and for his heirs executors and administrators doth promise, covenant and agree to and with the said Mary Ann Greenwood [Greenwell] and her heirs, executors administrators and assigns that before the ensealing and delivery hereof he was the true and lawful owner of the premises hereby granted and had good right, full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid And further that he the said and his heirs executors and administrators will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Mary Ann Greenwell and her heirs and assigns forever against all persons claiming or to claim by from or under her them or any of them of by from or under any other person or persons whoms[o]ever
In Witness Whereof the said together with Sarah Foster wife of the said who hereby forever relinquishes all right of dower in the said premises have hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year first above written
