I a justice of the peace and Alderman for the city of in said do certify that Joseph Horne and Mary Isabella his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had Executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Mary Isabella Horne having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined seperate and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she had executed the same and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her said husband Given under my hand and seal this Eleventh day of November A. D. 1843

Know all men by these presents that I Edward Langford of the county of in the State of for and in consideration of the Sum of Onethousand dollars to me in hand paid <void> here paid have granted bargained sold and and by these presents do grant bargain sell, and convey unto of the city of County of and State of all that certain parcel of land situated known and described as the South East quarters of Section Twenty one in Township Seven North of the base line and Range Eight (West of the fourth principal Meridian with all the appurtenances and all the right, title, interest, claim, and demand I have in the premises:— To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances unto the said and his heirs in fee simple forever.— And I the said Edward Langford for myself and my heirs do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said and his heirs and assigns that I am now the owner of the said premises and am seized of a good indefeasible estate of Inheritance therein and that I have full right and power to sell and convey the same in fee Simple absolute— that the said premises are free and clear of all incumbrances:— that the said his heirs and assigns may forever hereafter have, hold possess and enjoy the same without any suit molestation or interruption by any person whatever lawfully claiming any right therein And that I the said Edward Langford and all persons hereafter claiming under me will at any time hereafter at the request of the said his heirs or assigns make all such further assurances for the more effectual conveying of the said premises with the appurtenances as may be reasonably required by him or them. And that I the said Edward Langford and my heirs will warrant and defend the said premises with the appurtenances unto the said and his heirs and assigns forever
