Before me Joseph Conway Clerk of the Circuit Court within and for said county personally came and his wife the above named grantors and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above Deed to be their voluntary act for the uses and purposes therein expressed And the said being examined by me seperate and apart from her said and the contents of the said Deed being fully made known to her upon such seperate examination declared that she did voluntarily sign. seal and acknowledge the same and that she was still satisfied therewith—

This Indenture made this Eleventh (11) day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Joseph Horne and Mary Isabella [Hales] Horne his wife of the County of and state of of the one part and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Horne and Mary Isabella for and in consideration of the sum of Sevenhundredandfiftydollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land situate in the county of in the State of in Lot one and block twenty eight of addition to the city of consisting of the East half of said Lot Together with all and singular the appurtnenaces thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to Hold the alone described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever— And the said Joseph Horne and Mary Isabella his wife the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by [p. 328]
