Biography
2 Apr. 1815–8 Sept. 1882. Born in York, Upper Canada. Daughter of Thomas Silverthorn and Mary Anderson. Married William Law, 11 June 1833, in York. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1836. Briefly resided in Mercer Co., Pennsylvania, ca. 1838, then returned to Canada. Moved to Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, early Nov. 1839. Resided in Nauvoo Fourth Ward, 1842. Joined Female Relief Society of Nauvoo, 24 Mar. 1842. Excommunicated, 18 Apr. 1844, at Nauvoo. Moved to Burlington, Des Moines Co., Iowa Territory, June 1844; to Jo Daviess Co., Illinois, by 1848; to Findley Township, Mercer Co., by 1850; to Apple River, Jo Daviess Co., by 1860; and to Shullsburg, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin, by 1870. Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Shullsburg.
