the North West quarter of Block No two (2) Bounded by the centre of Knight Street on the North, and by land owned by , on the East, on the South by land owned by and on the West by the centre of the Street on the West side of said Block No (2) in said addition containing one half of an acre of land, to have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Cynthia his wife for themselves, their heirs and assigns administrators and Executors, will Warrant and forever defend the title of said peice of land against every person or persons Claiming by through or under them in any manner whatever. In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our names and affixed our seals this the Thirteenth day of November one thousand Eight hundred and forty three. Seal Cynthia Beach Seal. I Alderman of the City of in said do certify that & Cynthia his wife <whose> names appear to the foregoing deed & who are personally known to me to be the persons described in & who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses & purposes therein mentioned. And the said Cynthia Beach having been by me made acquainted with the contents of said deed separate and apart from her said did acknowledge that she had executed the same & relinquished her dower to the premises therein contained voluntarily freely & without compulsion of her said . This Indenture made, and entered into, this sixteenth day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Joseph Smith and his wife, of the county of and State of of the one part, and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Joseph Smith and his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby, grant, bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the County of in the State of viz: Lot number four in Block number one hundred and thirty five of the City of . Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said her heirs and assigns forever.
