Sec. 3. That the General officers may appoint such officers in their respective staffs as may be in conformity with the rules and regulations of the Army.
Sec. 4. That so much of the 3rd section of the Ordinance organizing the Nauvoo Legion, approved February 3rd 1841, as authorizes the Major General to act as secretary of the Court Martial and and Legion, and Adjutant, and Inspector General is hereby repealed.
Sec. 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, notwithstanding any thing to the contrary heretofore passed. enacted.
