At the 30 January 1843 Nauvoo City Council meeting, the council ordered that various city officers, including Pratt, be paid for their services. Notations indicate that certificates were made out to each of them. This transaction was recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger on 26 December 1843.
