There is an entry recorded 26 February 1845 in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $10.00 for an order to Andrew Lytle dated 5 October 1844. This pay order could correspond to that entry, even though this order is for $10.96. More likely, this order and another order that was bundled with this one for Lytle dated 5 October 1844 for $9.00 correspond to an entry recorded 20 February 1845 for $20.00. Lytle’s account in the ledger notes eight orders on collector dated 5 October 1844 totaling $53.00. This and the other extant pay order for Lytle dated 5 October 1844 likely correspond to two of those eight orders. (Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger, 26, 29, 132; Pay Order, William Clayton to Nauvoo City Collector for Andrew Lytle, 5 Oct. 1844–B.)
