There is an entry recorded 19 February 1845 in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for $1.00 to Stephen H. Goddard dated 7 October 1844. There are two extant pay orders for $1.00 to Goddard dated 7 October 1844. One of these two pay orders likely corresponds to that ledger entry. Goddard’s account in the ledger notes twenty-seven orders on collector dated 7 October 1844 totaling $52.00. This and the two other extant pay orders to Goddard dated 7 October 1844 likely correspond to three of those twenty-seven orders.
