There are two entries in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger recorded 30 January and 19 February 1845 for orders to Truman R. Barlow for $1.00 dated 9 August 1844. This is the only extant $1.00 pay order and could correspond to either of those two entries. Barlow’s account in the ledger notes seven orders on collector dated 9 August 1844 totaling $19.00. This and the three other extant pay orders for Barlow dated 9 August 1844 likely correspond to four of those seven orders.
