The People of the State of , To the Sheriff of said , Greeting:
We command you<as we have heretofore done>to summon if to be found in your , personally to be and appear before the Circuit Court of said , on the second day of the next term thereof, to be holden at the Court House in on the fourth Monday in the month of September next, to answer the demand of a certain petition exhibited against him in our said Court by Nicholas Singly for the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars and damages for the detention of the same, together with his costs. A copy of which said Petition is hereto prefixed. And have you then there this writ, and make return thereon, in what manner you execute the same.
