Greeting. Whereas complaint has been made to me Mayor of the City of in the aforesaid upon the Oath of that James <Daniel> Brown of the & aforesaid did on the 15 <14>th. Inst wilfully & maliciously take in the City of nine or ten Cotton-wood Logs & feloniously convey them away & also that one Thomas <S> Edwards was aiding and abetting in said removal of said Logs. These are therefore to command you to take the said James <Daniel> Brown if he be found in your or if he shall have fled [p. [1]]
