Smith, Caroline Amanda Grant
Biography
22 Jan. 1814–22 May 1845. Born in Windsor, Broome Co., New York. Daughter of Joshua Grant and Athalia Howard. Married William Smith, 14 Feb. 1833, likely in Erie Co., New York. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1833. Became seriously ill and was taken to live with Lucy Mack Smith in Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri. Settled at Plymouth, Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. Joined Relief Society of Nauvoo, Hancock Co., 9 June 1842. Moved to Pennsylvania seeking treatment for illness, 1843. Returned to Nauvoo, by May 1845. Died in Nauvoo.
