Biography
July 1814–20 Oct. 1904. Brick maker, farmer, minister. Born in Tennessee. Married Levisa McQwiten, 15 Nov. 1832, in Edwards Co., Illinois. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, before 5 May 1839. Moved to Missouri. Ordained a seventy, 5 May 1839, in Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 1842. Member of Nauvoo Legion. Moved to Bear Creek, Adams Co., by Dec. 1843. Moved to Iowa Territory, May 1846. Lived in Polk Co., Iowa, by 1850. Moved to Grand River, Decatur Co., Iowa, by 1860, where he was a minister for United Brethren Church. Moved to Humboldt Co., California, ca. 1862, where he was a minister until his death. Died in Scotia, Humboldt Co. Buried in Bull Creek Cemetery, Bull Creek, Humboldt Co.
